Are You A Diabetic?

In today’s world, this question has become common. As 422 million people of this world are suffering from diabetes. And India is the capital of diabetics with as many as 50 million people suffering from type 2 diabetes. Diabetes might be one of the most talked about diseases across the world and especially in India.

What Is Diabetes?

Diabetes is the disease in which the body does not properly convert food into energy. Most of the food we eat is turned into glucose, or sugar, for our bodies to use for energy. The pancreas, an organ that lies near the stomach, is responsible to produce the hormone called insulin to help glucose get into the cells of our bodies. When you are suffering from diabetes, your body either doesn't make enough insulin or can't use its own insulin as well as it should. This causes sugars to build up in your blood. This is why many people refer to diabetes as “sugar.”

Symptoms Of Diabetes?

  • Unexplained weight loss
  • Extreme hunger
